Cat Game is a cozy cat cafe game you play right in your browser. Set out toys, beds and food in your little cafe room, and cats with their own personalities drop by depending on what is out and the time of day. They play, nap and eat, then leave fish coins behind. Play this cat game free online with no download or sign-up, on desktop or on your phone. Your goal is to meet all 18 cats and fill your photo album.

How to play

You open the cafe with 25 fish coins and a yarn ball already on the floor. The room has six floor spots, and each spot holds one item and one visiting cat at a time.

• Place items. Tap a floor spot, then pick an item to put there. You can move or clear items at any time.
• Wait for visitors. Every cat loves one item and has favorite times of day. A day in the cafe lasts ten minutes, split into morning, afternoon, evening and night, and the window shows which one it is. When the right item is out at the right time, a matching cat may wander in.
• Collect fish coins. Cats stay for a minute or two and leave fish coins next to their item when they go. Tap a coin to bank it, or use Collect coins.
• Shop. Spend coins on new items like the Cardboard Box, Feather Wand, Scratching Post, Play Tunnel, Cat Tower and Heated Mat. New items go straight onto a free spot.
• Decorate. Decorations such as the Potted Plant, Bookshelf, Fish Tank and Fairy Lights unlock as your album grows. A few rare cats only visit when the room has a certain decoration.

Each new visitor is added to the photo album with a short description, their favorite item and two fun lines about their personality. Unmet cats show a silhouette and a hint about what they love and when they come. The cats and their stories are all made up for the game.

Mini-games

• Laser Chase: tap or drag to move a red laser dot, and the cat chases it. Lead the cat to 8 fish treats within 40 seconds. Spare seconds add bonus coins.
• Yarn Untangle: drag the yarn balls until no strands cross. Tangled strands show in red. Each solved puzzle adds another ball to the next one, up to ten.
• Feed the Cats: a marker slides along a bar. Tap Toss (or press Space) while it is in the green zone. Hit the bright center for a perfect toss. Feed 7 of 10 to win. The zone shrinks and the marker speeds up after every good toss.

The cafe keeps running while you play a mini-game, so coins can pile up in the meantime.

Tips

• Read the album hints. Tap any silhouette in the Album to see which item that cat loves and when it visits. That tells you what to put out next.
• Mind the clock. Some cats come any time, while others only come at night or only in the afternoon. A cat also heads home when its time of day ends.
• Spread your spots. You own one of each item, so fill all six spots with different items to attract more kinds of cats at the same time.
• Buy decorations early. They are a one-time purchase that stays in the room, and some of the best tippers need them.
• Come back later. Visits continue while the game is closed or in a background tab, for up to 8 hours. You get a welcome-back summary of the visits and coins.

Is Cat Game free to play?

Yes. It’s completely free with no account and no install. Your cafe, coins and album are saved automatically in your browser.

How many cats are there?

There are 18 original cats, from Mochi, who loves yarn, to Comet, a rare night visitor drawn to fairy lights. Meeting all 18 completes the album, and you can keep playing afterward.

Do cats visit while I’m away?

Yes. When you come back, the cafe works out the visits you missed, up to 8 hours’ worth, banks the fish coins and shows who stopped by.

Why isn’t a cat showing up?

Check its album hint. It needs its favorite item on the floor, its time of day, a free spot (one cat per item) and, for rare cats, the right decoration. Visits are random, so give it a few in-game minutes.

Does it work on a phone or Chromebook?

Yes. Everything works with taps and drags, and touching the room never scrolls the page. On a keyboard, keys 1 to 6 pick a floor spot, C collects coins, Space tosses in Feed the Cats and P or Esc pauses.
