Jigsaw Puzzle is a relaxing online jigsaw with classic tab-and-blank pieces and seven colourful pictures to build, from a pixel-art dino valley to a neon night city. Play jigsaw puzzles online free in your browser, with no download or sign-up, using a mouse on desktop or your finger on a phone or tablet. Choose 12, 24, 48 or 96 pieces and race your best time.

How to play

  1. Pick a picture: Sunset Peaks, Dino Valley, Night City, Mosaic, Reef, Balloons or Abstract.
  2. Pick a piece count. 12 pieces is a quick warm-up, and 96 is a proper sit-down puzzle.
  3. Press Start puzzle. The pieces are scattered and the timer starts.
  4. Drag pieces onto the board. When a piece gets close to its correct spot, it snaps into place.
  5. Pieces that fit together join up and move as one group, so you can build sections off the board and drop them in whole.

Place every piece to finish. Your best time for each piece count is saved in your browser, along with how many puzzles you’ve solved. Stuck? Ghost shows a faint guide image on the board, and Preview shows the full picture.

Tips for solving faster

  • Start with the edges. Pieces with a straight side belong on the border. Finding them first gives you a frame to build inward from.
  • Sort by colour. Each picture has distinct areas, like sky, water or buildings. Drag similar pieces into rough piles so you’re not searching the whole table every time.
  • Build clusters, then place them. Because joined pieces move together, it’s often quicker to assemble a chunk off to the side and snap it onto the board in one go.
  • Read the tabs and blanks. Pieces don’t rotate, so a piece with a tab on its left side can only sit next to one with a blank on its right. Use the shapes to rule pieces out quickly.
  • Use Ghost sparingly. It’s great for placing a stubborn piece, but relying on it for every move slows you down and takes the fun out of it.
  • Step up gradually. Doubling the piece count more than doubles the difficulty. Get comfortable at 24 and 48 before chasing a fast 96-piece time.

FAQ

Are these jigsaw puzzles free?

Yes. All seven pictures and every piece count are free to play, with no account and nothing to install.

Can I do the jigsaw on a phone, iPad or Chromebook?

Yes. On touch screens you press and drag pieces with your finger. On a Chromebook or computer, click and drag with the mouse or trackpad. The larger piece counts are easiest on a bigger screen.

Do I need to rotate the pieces?

No. Every piece is already the right way up, so you only need to find where it goes.

Is my best time saved?

Yes. Your best time is stored in your browser for each piece count, so you can try to beat it on your next attempt.
