Cake Game puts you behind the counter of a small layer-cake bakery. Every order ticket shows what the customer wants, and you make the whole cake yourself: pour the batter, bake the layers, stack them with filling, frost the outside, pipe a border and finish with toppers and candles. You can play this cake game online free in your browser, with no download or sign-up, on a computer or a phone.

How to play

There are ten orders over three days: three on day 1, three on day 2 and four on day 3. Each order has six scored steps.

  • Read the ticket. It lists each layer’s sponge flavor from bottom to top (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon, red velvet or matcha), the filling, the frosting color, the piping color and pattern, the toppers and the number of candles, next to a small picture of the finished cake.
  • Pour. Hold on the counter, or hold Space, to pour batter, stop at the red fill line and press Done. The pour speeds up the longer you hold. A pan that overflows spills and scores nothing.
  • Bake. A needle moves along the doneness gauge. Tap, or press Space, while it is inside the golden window. Too early is gooey, too late overbakes, and leaving the cakes in burns them for zero points.
  • Stack. Each layer slides side to side above the board. Tap to drop it; the closer to center, the more points, and any lean stays visible. Between layers, tap the filling jar the ticket asks for: jam, cream, fudge or caramel.
  • Frost. Tap the right frosting bowl, then drag around the cake on the turntable. Each lap adds about half a coat, so two full laps reach 100% and the game moves on by itself. Done stops early with the coverage you have.
  • Pipe. A dashed guide runs along the front of the cake as a wave, zigzag, scallops or a straight line. Drag along it from the green dot. You score for how much of the guide you cover and lose points for icing that strays far from it. Undo removes the last stroke.
  • Top and serve. Pick a topper (strawberry, cherry, star, heart or flower) or the candle tool and tap the top of the cake to place it. Press Serve cake when it matches the ticket.

Scoring and stars

An order is worth up to 1000 points: 150 each for pouring, baking, stacking and frosting coverage, 200 for piping, and 50 each for the right filling, frosting color, toppers and candle count. Toppers score in full only when you place exactly the number asked for and nothing else. One star needs 400 points, two need 650 and three need 850, and the results screen breaks the score down step by step.

Day goals are 1500, 1700 and 2400 points. Reach the goal to unlock the next day. Later days bring three-layer cakes, faster pouring, a quicker oven with a narrower golden window, faster sliding layers and more candles. Stars and best scores are saved in your browser.

Free decorate

Free decorate has no ticket and no timer. Choose one to four layers, tap a layer with the Sponge tool to change its flavor, cycle the filling and frosting, pipe freehand icing in six colors, drag sprinkles, and place toppers and candles. Your cake is kept between visits, and Save PNG downloads it as a picture.

Tips

  • Pour in bursts near the line. Release a little early and top up with short holds. Spilling costs the whole pan.
  • Listen for the chime. It plays when the needle enters the golden window, and the center of the window scores best.
  • Time the drop. The layer moves fastest as it crosses the dashed center line, so tap just before it gets there.
  • Fill the pale wedges. Coverage only builds where you drag, so go back over any light patches on the turntable.

FAQ

Is Cake Game free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with nothing to install and no account.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. Hold to pour, tap to bake and drop, and drag to frost and pipe. Dragging on the play area does not scroll the page.

Can I play with a keyboard?

Yes. Space pours, takes the cakes out, drops layers and places toppers. Keys 1 to 6 pick fillings, frostings and toppers, the left and right arrows turn the spatula, and Up and Down steer the piping bag while you hold Space. Enter is Done, Z is undo, and P or Esc pauses.
