Donut Game is a sorting and packing puzzle set in a busy donut shop. Every box on the counter comes with its own set of rules, and your job is to fill each slot so that every rule is met. Play the donut game free online in your browser, with no download or sign-up. There are 20 levels, a fresh daily box, and your stars are saved as you go.

How to play

The donuts come in nine glazes (cherry, orange, lemon, mint, blueberry, grape, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry), and each one is either plain or sprinkled. Above the box you will see the rules, each with a small icon and a short line of text, such as:

  • Line rules: “Left column: all chocolate” or “Top row: all sprinkled”.
  • Touch rules: “No two sprinkled donuts touch” or “No two same glazes touch”. Touching means side by side or one above the other, not diagonal.
  • Count rules: “Exactly 3 vanilla” or “Each row: exactly 1 sprinkled”.
  • Pattern rules: corners, a mirror image from left to right, no glaze twice in a row or column, and rainbow order.

Rainbow order always runs cherry, orange, lemon, mint, blueberry, grape. “Rainbow order, reading across then down” means the colors never go backward as you read the box like a page. Some rainbow rules also say no color may repeat.

Drag a donut into a slot, or tap a donut and then tap the slot. To take a donut back out, tap it in the box and then tap the shelf or tray, or drag it out. Dropping a donut on a filled slot swaps the two. Each rule turns green once the full box meets it and red as soon as something breaks it. When the box is full and every rule is green, it ships.

Logic boxes and rush boxes

Logic boxes have no timer. Your donuts sit on a shelf above the box, and the shelf always holds a couple of extra donuts that the solution does not use, so you cannot just place everything. A few boxes have a pinned donut with a gold tag that stays where it is. You earn three stars if you never fill the box while a rule is broken, two stars for one slip, and one star after that.

Rush boxes arrive on a conveyor belt that keeps moving. Grab the donuts you need as they pass. Any donut that rides off the end slides onto the seconds tray, which holds five, and you can still pack those later. Once the tray is full, more misses are thrown away, but the belt keeps bringing donuts around. Rush levels can have up to three boxes in a row, and your stars depend on how much time is left when the last box ships.

The levels mix both kinds, starting with a 2 x 2 box and working up to dozen boxes in 2 x 6 and 3 x 4 layouts. Each level unlocks the next, and the Daily box button gives everyone the same new logic box each day.

Tips for packing every box

  • Place the fixed donuts first. Line, corner and center rules say exactly what goes where, so fill those slots first.
  • Sprinkles that cannot touch form a checkerboard. When a box needs many sprinkled donuts that never touch, they almost always alternate with plain ones.
  • Mirror rules come in pairs. Find matching pairs on the shelf first; the center column of an odd-width box has no partner.
  • Count the shelf. If a box needs exactly three vanilla and the shelf holds four, one of them is a spare.
  • Use the seconds tray on purpose. A useful donut that rides off the belt waits on the tray, so keep the tray clear of donuts you will never need.
  • Watch the red rings. They mark the donuts breaking a rule.

FAQ

Is Donut Game free?

Yes. It is completely free, with no account and nothing to install.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag donuts with your finger, or tap a donut and then tap a slot if dragging feels fiddly. Dragging never scrolls the page.

Can I play with a keyboard?

Yes. The arrow keys move a cursor around the box, Z and X pick a donut from the shelf, belt or tray, Space places it, Delete takes it out, and R resets a logic box. P or Esc pauses a rush level, and rush levels pause when you switch tabs.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Unlocked levels, stars and your daily box record are saved in your browser on this device.
