Dino Dentist is a kid-friendly dentist game: cartoon dinosaur patients sit in your chair, open wide, and you clean every tooth until it shines. Brush off plaque, rinse away the foam, floss between teeth, polish dull teeth and fix little sugar-bug cavities, then give each patient a sparkly sticker. Play the dentist game free online in your browser, with no download or sign-up, on a computer, tablet or phone.

How to play

Each patient has a short list of steps shown above the mouth, and the teeth that need care glow yellow. Finish a step and the next one starts.

  • Brush: drag back and forth on a tooth with yellow plaque spots until they are gone.
  • Rinse: press and hold the water squirter on each foamy tooth to wash the bubbles away.
  • Floss: look for the blue dashed line between two glowing teeth, then drag from one tooth to its partner.
  • Polish: rub the dull, cream-colored teeth until they turn white and shiny.
  • Fill: tap the tooth with the little sugar bug to place a tooth-colored filler, then rub it smooth.
  • Sticker: drag one of three stickers (a star, a heart or a smiling tooth) onto the dashed star spot on your patient’s cheek. A tap on a sticker works too.

The clinic has three shifts of six patients each: Morning check-ups, Afternoon clinic and Busy evening. The first patients only need brushing. Rinsing and flossing come in during the first shift, polishing and fillings join in the second, and every patient in the evening shift needs all six steps with more teeth to clean. Finish all six patients in a shift to open the next one.

How the stars work

Every patient earns one to three stars, based on two things:

  • A full clean. Get every glowing tooth all the way done. The Finish step button lets you move on once a step is at least 70 percent done, but skipping the last bit costs a star.
  • Gentle hands. The Gentle meter fills when you scrub the pink gums instead of the teeth. Brush the gums too long and the dino starts to look worried, and you lose a star (or two if you keep going).

Your best stars for each patient and the shifts you have opened are saved in your browser, so you can come back later and replay any patient to improve.

Controls

  • Mouse or touch: drag to brush, polish, floss and smooth; press and hold to rinse; tap to fill.
  • Keyboard: the arrow keys pick a tooth (up and down switch between top and bottom teeth), Space works on it, F finishes a step early and Esc opens the menu.

Tips for a 3-star clean

  • Keep the tool on the tooth. Short back-and-forth strokes inside a tooth clean fast and never touch the gums.
  • Brush one tooth at a time. Lift your finger between teeth instead of dragging across the gum line.
  • Take your time. There is no timer, so a careful clean always beats a fast one.

Real tooth-care tips

Between patients the game shows a short tooth tip. These are the general habits dentists recommend for kids and grown-ups:

  • Brush twice a day, for about two minutes each time.
  • Use a toothpaste with fluoride. Kids aged 3 and up need only a pea-sized amount.
  • Clean between your teeth once a day with floss.
  • Cut down on sugary snacks and drinks, which feed the germs that cause cavities.
  • Visit the dentist regularly for check-ups.

The game is just for fun and is not medical advice. If you have questions about your own teeth, ask a parent and your dentist.

FAQ

Is this dentist game free?

Yes. Dino Dentist is completely free, with no account and no download.

Is it OK for young kids?

Yes. There is no blood, no pain and no drill. The patients are cartoon dinosaurs, the cavities are cute sugar bugs that wave goodbye, and the only reward is stars and stickers. Younger kids may like a grown-up nearby to read the step text.

Does it work on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Everything is done by dragging or tapping on the teeth, and dragging on the game will not scroll the page.

How is this different from the doctor game?

In Dino Doctor you pick the right tools in the right order to treat scrapes, colds and sprains. Dino Dentist is all about the mouth: you clean each tooth by hand and are scored on how complete and gentle the clean is. If your kids like caring for animals, try Vet Clinic next.

Can I replay a patient for more stars?

Yes. Press Try again on the result card, or pick the shift from the menu. Only your best score for each patient is kept.
