Bubble Pop is a tap-to-pop bubble game where every move changes the whole board. Tap a group of two or more matching bubbles to pop it, watch the bubbles above drop into the gap, and line up bigger and bigger groups for huge scores. Play free in your browser with no download or sign-up, on a desktop, Chromebook, tablet or phone.

This is not an aim-and-shoot game. Nothing is fired into the board, and there is no cannon to line up. If you want that style, try our Bubble Shooter. Bubble Pop is a calmer “collapse” puzzle in the same family as the classic SameGame: the skill is in choosing which group to pop, and when.

How to play

  • Pop a group. Tap or click any bubble that touches at least one bubble of the same color. The whole connected group pops at once. Bubbles connect up, down, left and right, but not diagonally. A lone bubble cannot be popped.
  • Gravity and sliding. Bubbles above the popped ones fall straight down. When a whole column empties, the columns to its right slide left to close the gap, so groups that were far apart can suddenly meet.
  • Scoring. A group of n bubbles scores n × (n − 1). A pair is worth 2, a group of 5 is worth 20, and a group of 12 is worth 132. One big group is worth far more than the same bubbles popped in pairs.
  • Hint and undo. Hint highlights the biggest group on the board right now. Undo takes back your last move (one step), which is handy when a pop goes wrong.

Three ways to play

  • Levels. 40 fixed boards that get bigger and more colorful as you go: three colors at first, then four, then five, on grids from 8 × 8 up to 10 × 11. Each level has a target score. When no pairs are left, you pass if you reached the target. Clear every bubble for a 500-point bonus. Every target has been checked as reachable by a simple computer solver.
  • Endless. The board starts five rows deep, and a new row pushes up from the bottom when the timer bar fills. The timer gets a little faster with every row. If a column is already at the top when the next row arrives, the game ends. Clearing the whole board is worth 250, and an empty or stuck board pulls the next row in early. Press P or Esc to pause.
  • Relax. Made for little kids and for winding down: a small 6 × 7 board with big bubbles, three colors, no timer and no game over. When the board runs out of pairs, a fresh one drops in and your score keeps going.

Your unlocked levels, best score on each level, and best Endless and Relax scores are saved in your browser.

Tips for higher scores

  • Grow one color. Pick the color you have most of and pop the others first. Each pop that removes bubbles between two clumps of your main color joins them into one huge group.
  • Work from the bottom. Popping low groups makes everything above fall, which reshuffles more of the board. Popping near the top changes very little.
  • Watch the columns. Emptying a column slides everything to its right. That can join two groups, or split one, so look before you pop the last bubbles in a column.
  • In Endless, keep the middle low. Rows arrive across every column at once, so the tallest column decides when the game ends. Pop groups in your highest columns first.

FAQ

Is Bubble Pop free?

Yes. It is free to play with no account and no download.

How is this different from Bubble Shooter?

In Bubble Shooter you aim and fire bubbles to make matches of three. In Bubble Pop you never shoot anything. You tap groups that are already on the board, and the challenge is planning the order so the falling and sliding bubbles build bigger groups.

Why did my level end before the board was empty?

A level ends when no two touching bubbles share a color. Single bubbles that are left cannot be popped. If your score reached the target, you still pass the level. If not, you can retry or undo your last move and try a different pop.

Is it good for young kids?

Relax mode is designed for them: large bubbles that are easy to tap, only three colors, and no way to lose. Pops make a soft sound, and you can turn the sound off with one button.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Tap a group to pop it. The board does not scroll the page while you play. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys and Enter, H for a hint, Z to undo and R to restart.
