Flower Game puts you behind the counter of a small flower shop. Each customer hands you a card with what they want, from “something bright and cheerful with sunflowers” to “red roses, 12 stems, with greenery”. Pick stems from the buckets, snip them, arrange them in a vase or a paper wrap, tie on a ribbon and serve. You can play this flower game online free in your browser with no download, on a phone, tablet, Chromebook or desktop.
How to play
- Read the card. The quote tells you the colors, the flowers to include (or leave out) and the occasion. The chips under it sum up the shape, the holder, the stem count and any ribbon color.
- Pick stems. There are 16 buckets: rose, tulip, sunflower, daisy, lily, carnation, peony, iris, lavender, baby’s breath, hydrangea, orchid, mum, gerbera, snapdragon and greenery. Tap a bucket, then tap one of its colors to add a stem. Each new stem fans out at its own angle.
- Arrange. Drag a flower head to tilt its stem in the vase. Spread stems of the same length in a fan for a round bouquet, keep them upright for a tall one, or let about a third of them droop over one side for a cascade. Tap a flower to select it.
- Snip. In the Stem tab, slide the length shorter and press Snip. Shorter stems sit lower in the arrangement. A snipped stem can’t grow back, so cut a little at a time.
- Finish and serve. In the Finish tab, choose a vase (glass, white, blue or terracotta) or a paper wrap in six colors, pick a ribbon, then press Serve.
Scoring and stars
Every bouquet is scored out of 100, and the results card shows each part:
- Colors (20): how many stems match the colors on the card. Greenery never counts against you.
- Flowers (20): whether you included the flowers asked for, in the numbers asked for. Adding a flower the customer said no to costs 10 points.
- Stem count (15): 4 points off for each stem outside the range on the card.
- Shape (15) and balance (10): the meters under the table show how round, tall or cascading your bouquet is, and how evenly its weight sits left and right. A cascade is meant to lean, so it is judged on its shape.
- Freshness (10): the average freshness of your stems.
- Finish (10): the right holder, the right vase or paper color, and the right ribbon.
One star needs 55 points, two need 72 and three need 88. There are three days of six customers. Earn 10 of the 18 stars in a day to open the next one, where cards get more specific. If you fall short, replay the day. You can also try any single order again from its results card. Your stars, unlocked days and a day in progress are saved in your browser.
Free arranging
Free arranging has no customer and every bucket is fresh. Build anything you like with up to 30 stems, switch between vases and wraps, and press Save PNG to download your bouquet as a picture. Your free bouquet is kept for your next visit.
Tips
- Check the freshness bars. The thin bar under each bucket is green when the bucket is fresh and amber when it is tired. Tired stems look a little duller and pull your freshness score down.
- Snip every stem once. The first snip on a stem is a fresh cut worth +10 freshness. Even a small trim counts.
- Keep round bouquets even. A round shape wants stems of similar length fanned out to about 60 degrees on each side, with no big gaps. Put big heads like hydrangeas and peonies in matching pairs left and right to keep the balance meter full.
- Read the counts carefully. “12 red roses” counts only the roses, so greenery on top is fine. Other cards count every stem.
- Flower meanings. Each bucket shows a traditional meaning from the old language of flowers, such as red roses often being said to mean love. These are customs and folklore rather than rules, and they don’t affect your score.
