Dirt Bike Hill Climb is a physics driving game where you ride a dirt bike over endless, randomly generated hills, balancing throttle, brakes and lean to keep your rider upright. How to play

The goal is to ride as far as you can. Your score is the distance travelled, and your best distance is saved in your browser.

• Gas and brake: give it gas to climb, and brake to slow down. Keep holding brake when you’ve stopped and the bike will reverse.
• Lean: lean back or forward to stay balanced on steep slopes and to land jumps on both wheels. In the air, gas also tilts the bike back and brake tilts it forward.
• Fuel: your tank drains as you ride, and faster while you’re on the gas. Pick up the red fuel cans along the track to top it up.
• Flips: land a full backflip or frontflip for a small fuel bonus.

The run ends if the rider’s head hits the ground, or if you run out of fuel and can’t reach the next can.

Tips

• Don’t hold full gas all the time. Fuel burns much faster on the throttle. Easing off on flat ground and downhills stretches your tank to the next can.
• Lean forward on steep climbs. Too much power on a steep hill pulls the front wheel up and flips you backwards. Shift your weight forward and feather the gas.
• Match the ground before you land. Use lean (or gas and brake in the air) to line the bike up with the slope you’re landing on. Landing on both wheels keeps your speed.
• Only flip when you have the height. The fuel bonus is small, and a half-finished flip usually lands you on your head. Save flips for big jumps.
• Back up if you stall. If you can’t make a hill, reverse a little for a run-up rather than grinding at the bottom.

What ends a run?

Landing on the rider’s head ends it straight away. Running out of fuel stops you too, so keep an eye on the fuel gauge and grab every can you can reach.
