Cargo Truck is a side-view delivery truck game with a twist: the crates in the back are not strapped down. You drive an open-bed cargo truck across hills, wooden bridges, mud and snow, and your job is to get as much of the load as possible to the depot at the end of each route. Floor it and the crates slide out the back. Drive smoothly and they stay put. Play this truck game free in your browser, with no download, on a computer or phone.
How to play
Each route starts with two rows of wooden crates in the bed. Drive right to the depot gate. Every crate still in the bed when you arrive counts as delivered.
- Gas pushes the truck forward. Power builds over a moment, so short taps give a gentle push.
- Brake slows the truck down. Hold it from a stop to reverse.
- The crates are loose. Hard acceleration, steep climbs and big bumps make them slide or bounce. Any crate that goes over the tailgate is lost. On land it tumbles onto the road behind you. On a bridge it falls into the river.
- Watch the fuel gauge. Gas burns fuel fastest, but coasting uses a little too. Red fuel cans add 35%. If the tank runs dry, the run is over.
- Stay on your wheels. Rolling onto the roof or tipping over wrecks the truck. Losing every crate also ends the run.
Routes and road surfaces
There are 10 routes: Farm Road, River Crossing, Rolling Hills, Muddy Track, Quarry Climb, Old Bridges, Snow Pass, Washboard, Mountain Mud and Winter Express. Routes unlock in order, and the loads grow from four crates on the first route to eight on the last three.
- Hills tilt the bed. On a steep climb the top row starts to slide backward even if you never touch the gas.
- Bridges sag in the middle, and the planks have no side walls to stop a crate from dropping into the water below.
- Mud drags the truck down to a crawl, burning extra fuel to get through.
- Snow has much less grip, so the wheels spin if you launch too hard.
- Bumps and washboard roads bounce the crates around. At high speed they can hop right out of the bed.
Stars, cash and upgrades
Every route has three stars. You earn one for delivering at least half the crates, one for delivering all of them and one for reaching the depot within the par time with at least half the load. You need at least one star to unlock the next route.
Each delivered crate pays cash, with a bonus for a full load and another for a three-star run. Spend it in the Garage on three upgrades, each with three levels costing $80, $180 and $320:
- Engine: more power, a higher top speed and better mileage.
- Tires: more grip, which matters most in mud and snow.
- Bed walls: a taller tailgate and sides. The first level helps with bounces, and from the second level the walls are taller than a crate, so the top row can no longer slide straight off on a climb.

Tips
- Feather the gas on climbs. Steep hills are where most cargo is lost. Build a little speed before the slope, then ease off so you are not pushing the crates backward while the bed is tilted.
- Brake before bumps, not on them. Hard braking slides the load forward against the cab, which is safe. Hitting a bump at full speed is not.
- Buy bed walls first. They protect the top row on every route. Engine and tire upgrades are better once you want to beat par times.
FAQ
Is Cargo Truck free to play?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no account and nothing to install.
Why do my crates keep falling off?
The cargo is loose, so it reacts to how you drive. Full throttle from a stop, steep climbs and big bumps at speed all move the crates. Ease off on hills, slow down before rough ground and upgrade the bed walls.
Does it work on phones and Chromebooks?
Yes. On touch screens, use the Brake and Gas pedals under the game, or press the left or right half of the game area. On a laptop or Chromebook, use Right/D for gas, Left/A to brake and reverse, R to retry and P or Esc to pause.
How many routes are there?
There are 10 routes with three stars each, for 30 stars in total.
