Princess Quest is a gentle princess game for kids. You design your own princess, then explore a storybook kingdom map with eight short quests: find a lost crown in a hedge maze, hop across a river on stepping stones, answer a friendly troll’s riddles, light lanterns in the right order, catch baby dragons, bake for the royal feast, find hidden kittens and fix a royal portrait. Each finished quest earns a star and a sticker. You can play this princess game online free in your browser with no download, using a mouse, a keyboard or a touch screen.
How to play
Start by making your princess. Pick one of five hair colors, five dress colors and four skin tones, then choose a crown: a tiara, a flower or a bow. Press Start adventure to open the kingdom map.
The map shows eight numbered quests along a winding path to the castle. Tap a quest, or press its number key, to play it. You can do the quests in any order and replay any of them. The goal for each quest is shown at the top of the screen, and the Map button takes you back.
- Lost Crown Maze: walk through a hedge maze to the crown in the far corner. Use the arrow keys or WASD, swipe on a touch screen, or tap the side of the princess you want her to walk toward. Hedges block the way.
- Stepping Stones: five stones rise and sink in the river at different speeds. Press Space, Up or the Hop button to jump to the next stone. Jump onto a sunk stone and you splash back to the start, but there is no other penalty, and the stone you are standing on stays up.
- Riddle Bridge: a friendly troll asks three riddles, picked from a set of six. Tap one of three answers or press 1, 2 or 3. A wrong answer just lets you try again.
- Lantern Lights: watch four lanterns light up one at a time, then light them in the same order by tapping them or pressing 1 to 5. If you pick the wrong lantern, the sequence plays again.
- Baby Dragons: three baby dragons glide down from a tree one at a time, drifting sideways. Move the cushion with the Left and Right keys, or hold your finger or mouse where you want it, and catch all three. A missed dragon flutters back up and tries again.
- Royal Feast: the recipe card lists four ingredients and then Bake. Add them in order using the six ingredient buttons or keys 1 to 6, then press Bake (7 or B). A wrong ingredient or an early Bake does not count.
- Garden Kittens: five kittens are hiding in ten bushes. Look for little ears poking out and tap the bush.
- Royal Portrait: a castle painting is cut into nine pieces, and some are turned the wrong way. Tap a piece, or press 1 to 9, to turn it a quarter turn. When every piece is upright, the portrait is fixed.
Finishing a quest gives you a star and that quest’s sticker, which goes into the sticker book along the bottom of the map. Collect all eight stars for the kingdom celebration. Your princess’s look, stars and stickers are saved in your browser, so you can stop and come back later.
Tips
- Nothing can go wrong. No quest has a timer or a game over. Mistakes only mean another try, which makes it a good first game for young players.
- Watch the stones before you jump. Wait until the next stone has just come back up, then hop. It takes a moment to land, so jumping onto a stone that is already wobbling is risky.
- Say the lantern numbers out loud. Saying the numbers as they light up makes the order easier to remember.
- Follow the dragon early. Start moving the cushion as soon as the baby dragon leaves the branch. It bounces off the sides, so watch which way it is drifting.
