Dino Hospital is a cartoony hospital game where you run the whole building, not a single exam room. Lay out rooms on a grid, hire a team, and keep a steady line of dino patients moving from the front desk to the door, cured and happy. Play this hospital management game free in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone, with no download and no sign-up.
How to play
Each of the eight scenarios gives you a starting budget, a set of rooms you can build and a goal, such as curing a number of patients, having a certain amount of money in the bank or keeping your reputation high. Goals are checked at the end of every day, and you have three or four days to meet them.
- Build rooms. Pick a room on the Rooms tab and tap the grid to place it. You can build a reception desk, waiting area, GP office, pharmacy, ward, X-ray room, lab and staff room. Every room must touch the hallway, and you cannot block the entrance or cut off another room. Selling refunds half the price.
- Hire staff. Receptionists check patients in, doctors work the GP office, nurses run the pharmacy, ward, X-ray and lab, and janitors clean the floors. Juniors are cheaper; seniors cost more per day but work one and a half times as fast. Salaries are paid each night.
- Follow the patients. Every patient checks in at reception, waits, and sees the GP for a diagnosis. Then they visit the rooms their ailment needs and pay for every step when they are cured.
- Watch the bars. Patients lose patience while they wait, a little slower when they have a seat. If patience runs out they walk out angry. Staff lose energy as they work; tired staff slow down unless there is a staff room where they can rest.
- Read the night report. After closing you see the day’s fees, salaries, cures, walkouts, reputation and cleanliness.
Play, Pause and the 1x, 2x and 4x buttons control time. Each day starts paused so you can build and hire first. P or Esc pauses, Space toggles play, keys 1 to 8 pick rooms, S sells and L inspects. Your stars, unlocked scenarios and the last finished day are saved in your browser.
The ailments
All the conditions are made up and silly, and nothing here is real medical advice. Sneezy Snout and Roar Throat only need the pharmacy. Grumpy Tummy needs a rest in the ward. Wobbly Tail needs an X-ray and a ward bed, Hiccup Hops needs an X-ray and the pharmacy, Spotty Scales needs the lab and the pharmacy, and Droopy Crest needs the lab and the ward. If the room a patient needs does not exist, they pay the GP fee and go home, and your reputation drops.
Strategy tips
- Start lean. A reception, a GP office and the treatment room your first patients need is enough on day one.
- Seats buy time. A waiting area lets patients sit, which slows their patience drain. In busy scenarios, build a second one.
- Find the bottleneck. Open the Goals tab to see how many patients wait for each room. A long GP queue means you need a second GP office and doctor; a long reception line means a faster receptionist.
- Keep it clean. Every patient tracks in a little dirt, and in Muddy Marsh they bring a lot. Low cleanliness costs reputation every hour and makes waiting patients grumpier, so hire a janitor early.
- Watch salaries. If your bank goes below zero at the end of a day, the scenario is lost. Seniors pay off only in rooms that are always busy.
FAQ
Is this hospital game free?
Yes. Dino Hospital is free to play in any modern browser with no account and no install.
Is it a doctor game where I treat patients myself?
No. You are the manager. You plan the layout, hire the team and keep queues short, and your staff do the treating. If you want a hands-on clinic, try Dino Doctor.
How do stars work?
Meet the goal by the end of an early day for three stars, a little later for two, or by the last day for one. Winning a scenario unlocks the next one.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap a room button, then tap the grid to build, and tap patients or staff to inspect them. The page does not scroll while you play.
Does the game save?
Your stars and unlocked scenarios are saved, and you can continue a scenario from the last night report.
