Claw Machine is a free claw machine game you can play online in your browser, with no download. Steer the claw over a glass cabinet full of plush animals, toy capsules and speckled dino eggs, drop it, and carry your catch back to the prize chute. There is no real money involved: plays use free credits that refill on their own, and the claw is fair. It grips with exactly the same strength every time, so whether a prize lifts depends only on where you grab it.
How to play
- Move the claw: use the arrow keys or WASD (Up moves toward the back). With a mouse or on a phone, drag on the machine, or tap a spot on the floor or in the top view to make the claw glide there.
- Judge the depth: the view is from the front, so depth is the hard part. A shadow ring on the floor sits straight under the claw, with a dashed aim line down to it, and the Top view panel shows the whole floor from above.
- Drop: press Space, Enter or the Drop claw button. The claw lowers, closes and carries whatever it holds back to the chute in the front-left corner on its own. After 25 seconds without a drop, it drops by itself.
- Win it: a prize counts as won when it falls into the chute. Every prize you win goes on your Prize shelf.
How the grip works
Every prize has a size, a weight and a balance point, shown as a small dot in the top view. Most balance points are in the middle, but the bunny and the whale are heavier at the head end. The further the claw closes from the balance point, the more grip a lift takes.
- Solid grip: the prize is carried all the way to the chute.
- Loose grip: the prize lifts but slips on the way back. The closer you were to a solid grip, the further it travels before it falls, so a near miss can still drop close to the chute.
- Too far off: the claw can’t lift it and only nudges it.
Capsules lift from anywhere on them but are small. Ducks, cats and eggs forgive a fair amount, bears need a grab near the middle, the star needs close to dead center, and the heavy whale only comes up when the claw is almost exactly on its balance point. The same drop in the same spot always does the same thing.
Bumps and rolls
If an open prong comes down on a neighboring prize, it pushes that prize aside. Capsules and dino eggs roll when bumped or dropped, while plush toys mostly stay put. A clear guard wall around the chute stops prizes on the floor from being pushed straight in, so you have to lift them over it.
Challenge machines and free play
There are 10 challenge machines, each with its own layout, goal and try limit, from First Grab and Capsule Trio (3 capsules in 6 tries) to Crowded Corner, where a star plush is boxed in by bears, Heavy Hitter (the whale) and Grand Prize, which asks for the star and the dino egg. Challenge tries don’t use credits, and your best number of tries on each machine is saved.
Free play fills the cabinet with a random mix of prizes. Each drop uses one free credit; you hold up to 10, and a new one arrives every 12 seconds, even while you are away. The machine restocks itself when it runs low.
Tips
- Check the top view before you drop. Line up the crosshair with the balance point dot.
- Watch the shadow ring. If it overlaps a neighbor, that neighbor gets pushed when the prongs land.
- Use a bump on purpose. An off-center drop can knock a capsule or egg out of a tight cluster for the next try.
FAQ
Is this claw machine game free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no purchases, no real money and no account. Credits in Free play are free and refill on their own, and challenge machines don’t use credits at all.
Is the claw rigged?
No. The grip strength never changes and there is no random chance of a weak grip. A prize lifts or slips based only on its weight and how close you grabbed its balance point.
Are my prizes saved?
Yes. Your prize shelf, cleared machines, best tries and credits are saved in your browser on this device.
Does it work on phones and Chromebooks?
Yes. Drag on the machine to move the claw and tap Drop claw. Touching the game won’t scroll the page, and it pauses itself when you switch tabs (or press P or Esc).
